The Go Green Belize Basketball Tournament
The Go Green Belize Basketball Tournament happens every Saturday and Sunday at Hilltop Court in Belmopan. You will be sure to see the some of the most dynamic homegrown basketball talent on the court within the Open Female, Male U22 and Open Male Divisions.
Opening games commenced in February.
The Go Green Belize Basketball Tournament is open to youth from all across Belize, from San Ignacio, Belmopan, Punta Gorda, Belize City and various villages in between. We have over 200 participants from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
The Tournament will conclude with play-offs and championship games in late April, 2024.
We have also taken the responsibility of encouraging female basketball through recruitment, free registration, and coaching/training assistance
Basketball fosters teamwork, good sportsmanship, and strategic thinking; it promotes cardiovascular health, coordination, and athleticism while building character and instilling wholesome values like resilience, perseverance, and cooperation. Moreover, community support helps to promote youth development, reducing delinquency, and creating a sense of community belonging.
Overall, the Go Green Belize Basketball Tournament is a holistic platform for youth to grow not only as athletes but also as responsible and well-rounded future leaders who embrace a sense of community support.
